“Emirates Lawyers” and “Laitron” collaborate to develop legal artificial intelligence
The Emirates Association for Lawyers and Legal signed a cooperation agreement with “Laitron” to introduce advanced artificial intelligence solutions into the legal community in the United Arab Emirates, contributing to the development of a modern professional environment capable of competing regionally and globally.
The agreement was signed in the presence of Counselor Zayed Saeed Al Shamsi, Chairman of the Association’s Board of Directors, and Counselor Rani Sader, CEO of “Laitron”.
Both parties expressed their commitment to strengthening cooperation in the fields of digital transformation and legal innovation. They agreed to work within several key areas focused on developing the use of artificial intelligence in legal services, enhancing professional competencies, and adopting the latest technologies that support legal work.
This agreement comes as a continuation of the Association’s efforts to strengthen strategic partnerships and extends a previous memorandum of understanding signed with “Sader” in 2021, which aimed to support legal culture and the publication of specialized legal books.
The agreement serves as a regulatory framework defining the principles of cooperation and the basic procedures for implementing joint initiatives, contributing to the development of the legal system in the UAE and keeping pace with rapid technological transformation.
It outlines several strategic objectives, most notably highlighting the pioneering role of the Emirates Association for Lawyers and Legal in leading the digital transformation of the legal profession, developing the legal environment in line with technological and knowledge advancements, and enhancing the competitiveness of the UAE legal community at local, regional, and international levels.
It also aims to equip legal professionals with advanced digital tools aligned with global best practices, thereby improving the quality and efficiency of legal services, as well as raising awareness of modern technologies and their impact on the development of the legal profession and community.
Counselor Zayed Saeed Al Shamsi stated in remarks to the Emirates News Agency (WAM) that artificial intelligence has become an essential necessity and tool for any professional, noting the importance of fast access to information and legal research tools for lawyers.
He explained that the agreement paves the way for launching a specialized legal AI platform focused on UAE laws and rulings, with the inclusion of comparative legislation, enhancing the accuracy of legal research and reflecting the specificity of the country’s legal system.
For his part, Counselor Rani Sader said that “Laitron” has extensive experience in legal publishing and the development of specialized legal databases, noting that the new platform will provide a comprehensive legal knowledge base covering legislation, judicial precedents, and legal opinions in the UAE.
He added that integrating artificial intelligence technologies into the platform will significantly facilitate legal research while ensuring the reliability of sources, supporting the development of legal culture and enhancing the efficiency of professionals in the legal sector.
