About Us
The Emirates Association of Lawyers and Legal
is a long-established professional association founded in 1980 by the pioneering generation of lawyers and legal professionals who, driven by their belief in the national duty entrusted to them, took the initiative to contribute to supporting the country’s development and to advance this successful journey by establishing an association under the name “The Jurists Association.”
A new and creative launch then took place on 30 April 2012, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State (may God protect him), and Their Highnesses the Members of the Supreme Council of the Union, Rulers of the Emirates (may God protect them), under its new name, “The Emirates Association of Lawyers and Legal.”
By the grace of God, through the efforts of its dedicated members, and with the support and patronage of our wise leadership, the Association is currently moving forward with confident steps in promoting legal culture and in focusing on the training and qualification of lawyers and legal professionals in the State.

To be a leading authority in promoting legal awareness of rights and obligations among members of society, and the most effective in enhancing the performance of lawyers and legal professionals, in pursuit of a society where justice prevails

Excellence in legal practice through the provision of community-based legal services and the strengthening of communication channels between the Association’s members and governmental and civil society institutions
Our Objectives
Regulation
Coordinating and cooperating with the relevant authorities in the state to establish the foundations necessary for regulating the practice of the legal profession
Advancement
Organizing the efforts of the association’s members to strengthen the role of the legal profession in fulfilling its noble mission of establishing the foundations of justice, upholding professional ethics, and working in a spirit of responsibility and loyalty to the state
Cognitive Development
Working to prepare and publish research and studies, and to hold seminars and workshops, with the aim of developing the legal thinking of the association’s members in a manner that serves Emirati society
Networking
Strengthening ties between the association and other clubs, federations, and associations at the local and international levels, in line with the association’s objectives, after obtaining prior approval from the Ministry
